Rival’s Duel 72- Pitching a Tentpole

Hello and welcome to another episode of Rival’s Duel. This week, the rival’s return to their roots. The episode is shorter and (dare I say) sexier, and more to the point, Eric and Nole are at each other’s throats with a good argument like the days of old (like before WtoC put out a new product every two weeks). This week, it’s all about the iconic tentpole creatures for each color and which colors is the best. We’ve weighed in with our opinion, and now we want yours. Give it a listen and let us know in the comments below.

(Editor’s Note number 1: Due to some personal issues this episode (originally recorded for an Oct. 6th release) was held up until now. An explanation as to why, and what are plans are going forward, will be coming in the next episode.)

Editor’s Note number 2: We had some issues with the recording again at the end of the episode (You’ll be able to hear when we cut out and Nole had to record a missing bit solo. The problem has been found (A faulty wire in Nole’s headset) and has been fixed.

Intro: The (lack of) News from WotC. – Yay for a lack of spoilers for this episode. We talk briefly about the new FNM and Judge promos (Your welcome, Zur the Enchanter fans) and that’s about it.

Main Topic: Which color pitches the best tent (yay for sophomoric humor)? – WotC has given every color a “tent pole” creature, a big splashy creature that defines that color. White has Angels, Blue has Sphinxes, Black has Demons, Red had Dragons, and Green has Hydra. In this segment Eric and Nole debate which color has the best collection of Tent pole creatures. If you listen carefully, you can even hear the moment that Nole changes teams mid debate. Do you agree with Eric or Nole, or is one of the other three better than the two Eric and Nole chose? Let us know in the comments below.
