Rival’s Duel 63- This Episode Should be Banned

Hello and welcome to another episode of Rival’s Duel. To follow up from last episode (and hopefully make it that we don’t have to talk about it for a while) we are wrapping up the banned list discussion by discussing what cards we (and you the listeners) feel should be on the banned list. Think of us like an audio version or every Reddit thread you’ve read about this ever, without all the mindless shouting and comparing people to Hitler. Do you agree with our thoughts? Intro: So a lot has happened in the world of Magic, nothing of which has to do with Commander. We cover the lawsuit being brought by judges against WotC, the #paythepros controversy, and Magic releasing a DnD rules set.We also talk a great deal about public restrooms on Ravnica and underwear on Innistrad (Seriously, it’s easier for you to listen to then for me to explain it).

Main Topic: So last week we tried removing cards from the list, this time we are adding cards. We take a look at specific types of cards (Chaos cards, lockout cards), as well as specific offenders (hello Deadeye Navigator my old friend, it’s been 50 episodes since we’ve argued about you). While we are hesitant to add cards to the list, (the discussion if we are shills to the EDH rules committee can commence in the comments) we take a fair look at the list.
