(A pre-episode note: Hi everyone, Nole here. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been dealing with what turns out to be pneumonia, hence why no episode 2 weeks ago and why this episode (recorded on Sept 9th), isn’t going up until now. I’m on the mend now and hopefully we’ll be back to a regular content schedule from now on.)
0:00-32:32 Yay for Shiny New Stuff!
So there are a ton of new stuff from Battle for Zendikar. In this segment, we go over the spoiled legendary creatures, planeswalkers, and mechanics so far, as well as the super rare Zendikar expeditions that makes Nole die a little inside knowing that he’ll never manage to get the ones he wants.
32:33-1:09:28 A Final Nod to Theros and to a commander strategy that never sometimes works.
Mill is an idea that seems, at a glance, to be a terrible plan and for the most part, it is. However, there is one general that can make a mill deck possible, and that is Phenax, God of Deception. Eric and Nole sketch out a skeleton of what their Phenax deck would look like. Do they miss anything? Is mill even viable in Commander? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
