Rival’s Duel 45- General Face Off: Wonderbread Edition

Welcome to another episode of Rival’s Duel. This week Eric and Nole return to the original format of the show, where they pick a topic they disagree about and argue about it until they get bored. This week the topic is mono-White, specifically what the best way is to play the (arguably) worst mono color for Commander. Eric chooses to argue that bigger is better with a Voltron strategy, while Nole goes wider with tokens. It’s a battle of quality vs quantity this week, give it a listen and tell us what you think in the comments below.

0:00-30:20 Intros, and Angels, and emails, oh my!
We start this section with a bunch of news, mostly concerning Therese Neison’s amazing Akroma FtV art, as well as talking about how to start a podcast (with brief asides on the history of Rival’s Duel), and a few cool stories about the Origins Pre-release and commander stories.

30:21-1:02:52 The “White” stuff
It’s time for another General Face off, this time talking about mono-white. Eric thinks that a “bigger is better” voltron strategy using something like Kytheon or Isumaru is the way to go, while Nole believes that “less isn’t more, more is more” and is in favor of playing tokens, headed up by something Like Jazal or Elesh Norm. Who do you think is the better choice? Give us a listen and let us know what you think in the comments below.
