Rival's Duel 12- Navigating the Deadeye Problem

Welcome to another edition of Rival’s Duel. This week, the rivals Eric and Nole take on a single card that seems to be on everyone’s radar, yet seems to dodge the banhammer. They are looking at Deadeye Navigator and whether or not it deserves to be banned (I’ll give you a hint: the host that doesn’t play blue wants it gone). They also talk about FTV: Annihilation and MTG Conspiracy. As always, fell shownotes after Rakdos the Clickable

2:33-19:27 News and new releases.

Wizards have announced 2 new products since the last episode. Eric and Nole tackle their thoughts on the recently spoiled cards from conspiracy (Ok really only one card, no one is going to be playing Cogwork Librarian in Commander). They also talk about their hopes that Ravages of War get’s reprinted in the latest from the vault.

19:28-35:47 Single card Discussion: Deadeye Navigator

The power level of Deadeye Navigator is not really up for debate. The fact that it can take over a game if not dealt with makes it a force to be reckoned with in any game. However, does a card being powerful make it ban worthy? Eric and Nole take on this very issue, with Nole arguing that Deadeye does not deserve the banhammer while Eric says get rid of it. Who do you think is right? Let us know in the comments below.
